TECHNICAL VISIT
The technical visits within the Club Feroviar Conference on Infrastructure will take place on Thursday, March 19, at the Sighișoara Railway Station, the Mureni Tunnel and Homorod (Tunnel Portal – Lot 2/ Subsection 2 Apața–Cața).
- At the Sighișoara Railway Station and the Mureni Tunnel, participants will see the current status of the works carried out by Arcada Company, as well as the related technical details.
- At the Homorod portal in Subsection 2 Apața–Cața, the AKTOR company will present the working area of the Homorod twin railway tunnels (one for each railway line), approximately 5.1 km each. Here, the Alexandra and Konstantina TBMs are already drilling deep into the mountain. Participants will also be able to see the specific site organization: the tunnel access area (portal), the TBM technical platforms, the logistics of removing excavated material and supplying prefabricated elements, as well as associated safety and monitoring measures/equipment.
